| Brief profile: | CEREBRAL PALSY GREECE/OPEN DOOR is a registered charity that was founded in 1972 with the overall aim of developing welfare services for people suffering from cerebral palsy in Greece. The Open Door Centre provides a wide range of services, free of charge, for the education, rehabilitation, recreation and social integration of 240 children, teen-agers and adults every day. As pioneers in the field of cerebral palsy, CPG aims to overcome the social barriers caused by ignorance and prejudice, to support parents and families, to train staff, to enlighten the public and to encourage scientific research, particularly in the field of prevention. • We believe in the unique value and limitless potential of each and every person with cerebral palsy • We are determined to open up new pathways, break down barriers and bridge differences • We are convinced that education, culture and art are defining factors in the life of every human being • We are dedicated to providing services of the highest standard whatever the circumstances and we will never give up as long as there is even one child in need of help • We will continue to hope for a brave, new world that we can all share as equals. CPG is Organizational Member for Greece of the International Cerebral Palsy Society. |
