| Brief profile: | The Association of Friends and Volunteers was created in 1998 to support the work of the Society for the Protection of Minors in Thessaloniki. Its goals are to give all possible support, as well material as moral, to socially isolated and excluded minors, endangered minors and juvenile offenders, and to highlight their problems. OUR GOALS 1. To develop voluntary action by giving it all possible support, both material and moral, with the intent to strengthen and materialize the goals of the Society for the Protection of Minors in Thessaloniki (SPMT). 2. To highlight the problems met by socially isolated and excluded minors, endangered minors and juvenile offenders. 3. To activate the members of the Association to help the socially isolated and excluded minors protected by SPMT with respect to education, housing, food, psychological support, social and professional integration. 4. To raise public awareness of how these problems can be solved. 5. To develop contacts with other organizations pursuing similar goals. 6. To realize research programs and studies in support of socially excluded minors. 7. To develop all other actions that can help these minor |
