THEOTOKOS Foundation is a welfare, non-profit, non-governmental organization, that is to say, a legal entity governed by private law. It was established in 1954 (Royal Decree 212 Issue I 08/09/1954) and is supervised by the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity. The Foundation offers services to children and young people with intellectual disability and other developmental disorders as well as giving support to their families. Fundamental features of the internal operation and administration of the Foundation are the democratic decision-making and regulating processes. The mission of the Foundation is the education and training of children and young people aged 2½ -32, with the aim of facilitating their full participation in society. |
