| Brief profile: | Purpose Ladies Union of Drama is a Non Profit Charity Association, that is located at the arctic region of Drama, in Greece. The history of the Association starts a long time ago... Starting informally its actions in 1904. In 1998 the Association has taken a special recognition as a Charitable Association from the department of Social providence of Drama and at 2002 it joined the Private Non-Profit Institutions National Register with registry number 01101ΦΑΕ23026027Ν008 that provides services of social care of the Ministry of Health and care, having at the same time the special certificate as a carrier of social care. Our target is the support, empowerment and the encouragement of social minorities groups. As also the awareness of the society by: • Social support (accompanying support services) • Psychological support • Legal advices • Economical help • Employment opportunities • Pharmaceutical and medical help • Clothing distribution • Provisions distribution • Settle offering to abused women, university students and homeless families • Organization of seminars, Talks and information events Our beneficiaries are: Domestics and foreigners, destitutes, homeless, uninsured, victims of gender violence, single mothers, Roma, drag addicts, refugees and immigrants. |
