CSR in Greece - forum 2016

The 8th Annual Capital Link "Opening up Greece to Global Opportunities – A new aspect of CSR" Forum will take place in Athens, on June 28th, 2018, under the Auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and the City of Athens.

FORUM "Opening up Greece to Global Opportunities – A new aspect of CSR"
"Opening up Greece to Global Opportunities – A new aspect of CSR". The Globalization of the Greek Entrepreneurship has significant benefits for the Greek economy and thus by extension for the welfare of society as a whole. The expansion of Greek businesses into foreign markets and the attraction of foreign investments into Greece are two pillars for economic growth that can generate revenues and jobs. The globalization of Greek Entrepreneurship exemplifies itself through a wide range of activities – from exports to serving the international markets through local subsidiaries. It includes small scale operations to Greek multinationals – with the common denominator being the Greek Entrepreneurial ability to compete successfully in a global marketplace. And on the other side, it is also exemplified by attracting foreign investments into a multitude of sectors where Greece has distinct competitive advantages. The positive impact from this trend is particularly important at this time, as Greece is gradually recovering from recession, and is returning to a period of economic growth.

From the Business side: The Annual Forum hopes to present to the participants success stories of Greek exports, Greek multinationals and foreign investments into Greece. The objective is to share success strategies and stories and highlight the key business factors, resources and support mechanisms that can lead companies to open up to global competitiveness and success.

From the social side: In a separately reserved space, the Forum offers the opportunity to over 100 NGOs from all over Greece, to present their work, their activities and initiatives by exhibiting their own material to the participants. It is of great importance that due to the globalized profile of Capital Link Forums, their promotion will be very broad, including the Greek homogeneity as well as the investors’ community abroad.

The "Capital Link CSR Leadership Awards" are annually presented to a Greek and an International personality/organization for its outstanding contribution to society and for the elevation of Greece and the Greek culture globally.
